MSAKC uses an online curriculum service, Edgenuity. This platform has courses from grades 7-12. Courses can be differentiated from regular, honors and Advanced Placement (AP). Classes are self-paced and are not bound to a rigid schedule like in a traditional school setting. Students earn the credit (high school) upon completion of the class.
2. What is the yearly cost to enroll?
Students enroll in MSAKC on a yearly basis - traditionally August through July. Students pay the yearly curriculum fee for access to the Edgenuity platform. There is no minimum or maximum number of classes that need to be taken.
3. Benefits of Enrolling in MSAKC for Students in a Dedicated Arts Program:
Students will receive academic credit (high school) for their time spent in an arts-based school. For example, students at the KC Ballet School will receive 4 fine arts credits based upon the number of hours per day/week where they receive technical instruction. This allows students to have these courses on their official high school transcript.
